After years of intensive testing and formulating, SoyPoxy was brought to life and given a name on December 3, 2012. SoyPoxy is made with bio-renewable soy oil and most importantly, is phthalate free! Phthalates over time can leach from the system and potentially cause health issues. Congress has permanently banned three types of phthalates — DEHP, DBP and BBP1 — in any amount over 0.1% in many children’s products, so as you can see, the more we learn about phthalates they seem to follow the path of asbestos or tobacco as a potential health threat. SoyPoxy was created as a long lasting, phthalate free epoxy resin system.

SoyPoxy is designed with the toughness, durability and chemical resistance of traditional epoxy. However, due to the absence of phthalates our product isn’t restricted by regulatory bodies such as California Proposition 65 and the EPA List of Lists. With the proper resin structure in place, the next challenge was to create a decorative flooring system. Once that was achieved, we combined our bio-renewable SoyPoxy resin system with decorative marble and quartz stone, creating a flooring system unlike any other in the market!

SoyStep, the phthalate-free Epoxy flooring system is the perfect solution when the need for a long lasting, durable flooring solution arises.
